1948 Ford Truck

As with most projects we build, our customer has chosen to keep the exterior close to the original look yet underneath there is an ultra-modern Roadster Shop Full Chassis (suspension-steering, brakes) and much more modern equipment. 

This was a very large build-conversion to 4-wheel drive. Full frame off restoration. Finish paint is candy apply.

All mechanical work done in house.

This truck received mechanical work, and fabrication for install of new inner fenders. 

These had to be painted to match. 

Upgraded hinges. Note the new inner fenders. 

This is a highly modified fiberglass body.

This truck has been choped. It sports a flipped front end, and a beautiful custom paint job done in House of Kolors.

Candy Apple Paint Repairs

This Willy’s truck was built over 20 years ago and recently brought from California. The new owner did not like the painted flames it sported nor did he want to repaint the complete truck. He asked us to help.

Initially we told him it was a 20 year old true candy apple paint job which is almost impossible to "only paint" the front end and have it match the rest of the truck.

He asked us to do our best. Although it is not perfect, all things considered, it is pretty good.

Even new trucks get changed and the work typically involves:

Remove door handles, locks, mirrors. door panels, and headlights
Drop headliner to remove Onstar antenna.
Remove door gaskets, front bumpers, and splash shields.
Disassemble front bumper, complete brackets, cladding, fog lamps etc.
Remove rear brake light and roof seam covers. Wash truck.
Remove trim from hood, cowl, cover, wiper arms, tailgate cap, hitch, rear bumper, tail lights, filler neck, emblems, badges, tailgate handles etc.

Custom paint.

When the truck arrived at Joey's Place the lift kit had been installed.

In addition to laying down flames, Joey's Place installed fender flares. This work included radiusing the wheel wells to clear the tires and building the flares from scratch.

The paint scheme matches the customer's 2009 Challenger, and his American Ironhorse motorcycle. All done in house at Joey's Place.

This truck's paint work latter changed to a deeper red color as you may see in the last picture.

Very Personalized.

This is the finished product. What was white is now a matt black.

We are often asked to change the color of a vehicle. This process is labour intensive and very detailed. In this case the most time consuming procedures were disassembly and reassembly. Obviously, cutting corners and saving time was possible but this level of attention to detail ensures the entire vehicle (every nook and cranny) is done correctly.
This picture is the original factory color.

Next  picture shows the GM Escalade receiving extensive work while the last picture shows the finished product.

Full disassembly permits paint application to all surfaces.

This paint work was done to match the the customer's F150 posted earlier.

The exteior was completely restored. 

Many Hummers were personalized over a two year period.
