This nice original Z-28 is the starting point..

The car was totally disassembled and stripped to metal.

The body needed attention which included replacement of quarter panels. We installed DSE mini-tubs and narrowed the rear end.

Work on inner trunk and mini-tub installation.

Lots of work to install the DSE mini-tubs includes narrowing the rear end.

Modifications for Detroit Speed, Inc. QUADRALink™ Rear Suspension 

We replaced the stock door handles with this flush mount modern look.

Bumpers and brackets were modified to snuggly fit the body.

Fitting the rear bumper so it is tight to the body.

Modified front valance. 

The inner hood structure is modified to fit the super charger. 

Mocking up new DSE sub frame. Note the firewall modifications. 

The LS2 and Tremic 5-Speed are ready for test fitting. 

Test fit---the new drive train is in place and the sheet metal is hung. 

Body work is completed and it is time for primer. 

After meticulous blocking and sanding procedures the paint work begins. 

The silver ground coat is layed down and the masking for black ralley strips is done. 

Clear coating the stripes.

The fuel tank and rear suspension are in place.

Assmbly is underway. 

Sound deadner and wiring work. 

The engine compartment is coming togther with a very clean look.

The engine is a LS2 with a Magna Charger producing over 700 H.P., there is a Tremec 5-Speed Transmission, a Detroit Speed and Engineering Hydraformed front sub frame, tubular control arms, coil over shocks, and rack & pinion steering, Quadra Link rear suspension, Ford 9" diff. narrowed 7", and custom Budnick rims.

The car won three first place awards in the 2009 Powerama Car Show including; First in Class, Outstanding Early Street Machine and The Top 10 Award in show.
