An original 1975 Duster is the starting point of the build. 

The car will be completely disassembled.

Metal work begins.

Lots of rust repair. 

Rust repaired.

Removed trunk floor.

Lots of work to prep and install mini-tubs.

Lots of rust has been cut out in this well used (maybe abused) Albetra car. 

Work on the inner aprons and firewall.

Modified engine bay. 

Repair the floor. 

6.4 Liter Gen 3 Hemi

A 5-Speed Tremec Transmission replaces the original automatic. 

Fitting doors during the metal stage of work.

The floor has been lightly sand blasted. 

Alignment of body lines is complicated by the differeing multiple lines on the Duster.

Painting the inner surfaces of the larger panels. 

Large panels are set up in both paint booths. 

Ground coat is layed on the body. 

Here the panels are temporarily hung for the pearl paint finish. 

The stripes are inspired by the original ones. The stripes are lots of work to lay out, mask, paint. and apply clear coat over.  

Clear coat over the body.

Wet sanding-polish work. 

Assembly work begins. 

This is the main area  where the car gets assembled. 

6.4 L Gen 3 Hemi has a snug fit.

Suspension

Modified dash is required for the bew electronics. 

Interior being assembled with new instrumentation.

The underside has been sprayed with a mild textured epoxy. 

Fuel cell installation.

Fabricating screens.

Completed front end. 

Note the highlights in the paint. 

Car is ready for upholstery. 
The exterior look, except for the bumpers is basically like new- original.

On the other hand from front to back the complete drive train, suspension, brakes, and interior are modern. Much like a new SRT8 Challenger.

Lee Baxter covered our custom dash and completed the interior including the custom carpet install.

Rear interior design shows full waterfall continued from the front concole. The hand build seats perfecty match our mini-tubbed rear end work.
